Eyes Wide Open
For any and all readers I must apologize for the lack of new material. I am sure that everyone has gone through a period of time when life gets a little hectic and something has to fade from the daily “to do” list. At the risk of sacrificing training it was this site that took the hit.
I want to take a moment to talk about my personal training for a moment. Being pulled in many directions for the last few months I have had to slow my training regiment down slightly. What I was amazed by was how easily everything comes back. After a small sabatical I was sure I was going have a hard time shaking the rust off but that was not the case. Why? I wondered. Then as I explored why everything came back so easily it became apparent to me that it was because Yoshinkan Aikido was part of me now.
Without intent, the ways of Yoshinkan Aikido have managed to engrain themselves into my daily life. The way I move, the way I stand, the way I deal with stress, they are all different now. Yoshinkan Aikido has permeated my life and made a signifigant change for the positive.
Even now as I return to my training with more intensity I look at things differently. This has also spilled over into my everyday life. For this I am greatful and have the ways of Yoshinkan Aikido to thank.
