“Ichitaita” translates to “One against Many”. I feel that this term embodies the spirit of Yoshinkan Aikido. The strong spirit and mind cultivate through the study of Aikido allow the Individual to overcome the many. This applies to life as strongly as it applies to aikido. The transformations to the self carry outside the dojo. Aikido is not just a martial art, it is a spirit, a way of life.
My name is Adam Bennett. I live in London, Ontario and I am a husband, a father of thre boys, and a full time paramedic. I have just started down the path of Aikido. This is an online journal to chronicle my steps with articles and stories to highlight the ways.
I began my study Yoshinkan Aikido here in London Ontario under Sensei Derek Bindner of Aikido Network in October of 2008. I am looking forward to see where this journey will take me.
